What is Last Stand in Axie Infinity?

So how do you get in? Last place in Axie Infinity, and what does that mean?

Well, let’s set the scene. You are fighting an opponent in Axie Infinity. y got the upper hand and suddenly you weren’t surprised two critical attacks in a row. Your Axie will certainly be defeated, but wait. What is that flame around your Axie and how is it still alive?

You have just entered the “Last Place” for your Axie. Which is like a temporary extension of the life line.

So when an Axie takes an attack that reduces its HP to 0, there is a chance that it will enter Last Stand. Last place in Axie Infinity allows your Axie to stay active once again despite being unhealthy. During this period, your “fiery” Axie can perform additional card moves or perform some enemy hits / actions before he dies.

An Axie in Last Stand can have 1-5 red bars displayed on it, indicating how many laps Last Stand has. With each turn and action taken in the game, the bar decreases. So if you have 3 bars during the last parry, you can still make three cards against your enemy (if you are the first to play). After the third move, your Axie will die.

You should know that purebred Axies are more likely to enter Last Stand. Why? Well, the higher an Axie’s morale, the more likely you are to enter Last Stand when you hit 0 HP. Axis purists tend to have higher morale compared to others. Fun fact: This is just one of the reasons that purebred axles tend to be more valuable.

How to identify if an Axie will enter last?

Get your calculators ready because it’s time to do math. Quick notice, these formulas were written and calculated by the Axie community, which means they are not “official”.

So there are two things to keep in mind when considering whether or not your Axie will enter Last Stand: Excessive Damage and the Morale Modifier. To determine excess damage, you must calculate the enemy’s fatal attack damage minus your Axie’s remaining hit points.

On the other hand, we have to identify the Morale Modifier by multiplying the Axie’s remaining HP by its morale and dividing it by 100.

Your Axie will come in last if the morale modifier is greater than the excess damage from the opponent’s last attack.

Take an exam with this Axie Beast:

Location: This Axie Beast has 61 Morale and 120 HP remaining before the opponent’s attack. enemy hits the Axie Beast with a critical attack that takes 150 damage.

Let’s apply the formula:

  • Excess damage = 150 – 120 = 30
  • Moral modifier = (120 x 61) / 100 = 73.2

As you can see, the morale modifier is higher than the excessive damage. This means that Beast Axie will have a high chance of entering the Last Stand.

In short, if your Axie has high morale, you are more likely to place yourself last. With strategic games, landing last in Axie Infinity could mean the difference between winning and losing. Beware of cards that can disable Axie’s latest post. And also for lyrics that lower Axie’s morale. If your Axie has the lowest morale, at least raise your shield to survive critical attacks from your enemy.
