In the past, Dorsey, a longtime cryptocurrency loyalist, has repeatedly stated that he views Bitcoin as the ‘native currency of the internet’.

“If the Internet has a native currency, a global currency, we have to move much faster,” he said, pointing to products like Super Follows, Commerce, Subscriptions and Tip Jar.
